We hope our families had a wonderful summer. Our staff is excited and looking forward to welcoming our returning and new students to Saddle Ridge school for the 2026-2027 school year.
School Start-up Information
All students begin the school year on Monday, August 31, 2026. Please see the following schedules for when students attend school.
Grade 1 - 4
- August 31, September 1, 2 & 3 (8:00m-2:30pm)
7:45 am - 8:00am - Relaxed Entry. Teachers will meet their students in the compound area at the back of the school.
8:00 am - Classes Begin
11:33 am - 12:29 pm – Lunch break
2:30 pm - Students are dismissed at their assigned doors.
- Friday, September 4, 2026 Early Dismissal Day (8:00 am-12:00 pm)
7:45am - 8:00 am Relaxed Entry. Students enter through their assigned doors.

12:00 pm - Students are dismissed at their assigned doors.
Kindergarten – Staggered Entry
The Kindergarten entry/exit door is the west door, facing the staff parking lot.
Monday, August 31 & Tuesday, September 1 are Staggered Entry days

- 8:30 am - 9:30 am - Last name beginning A - J
- 9:45 am - 10:45 am - Last name beginning K- Z
PM Kindergarten
- 11:45 am - 12:45 pm - Last name beginning A - J
- 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm - Last name beginning K - Z
Regular classes start Wednesday, September 2.
- AM Kindergarten 8:00 – 10:51 am
- PM Kindergarten 11:39 am – 2:30 pm
Friday, September 4, 2026 there is no school for all Kindergarten students.
Welcome Emails
Teachers will be sending a welcome email to you on Friday, August 28, 2026. This email will contain information about entry and dismissal on the first day of school, which door your child is expected to enter and exit, where to meet your child’s teacher and other important information about their class.
Students Not Returning to Saddle Ridge School
If your student will not be attending Saddle Ridge School for 2025-2026 please email the school office at saddleridge@cbe.ab.ca. If your student will be attending Saddle Ridge School but you will not be present the first day of school please email the school office.
Bussing and Lunch Supervision Registration
Students needing to use transportation services can still register for the bus in the parent MyCBE account. Bus stop routes and locations may not be the same as last year, so please check your MyCBE account for current information.
For students in Gr. 1-4 lunch break is from 11:33 am - 12:29 pm. Students who choose to stay at school for the lunch break need to register in the Lunch Supervision program. Registration is available in the parent MyCBE account.
There is no Lunch Supervision program for Kindergarten students as they attend half days only.
