Good Afternoon Saddle Ridge Families,   

We had a fantastic week filled with love, laughter and learning.  Please be aware that there is no school on Friday, September 27 as it is a Professional Learning Day for teachers. 

Terry Fox Run 

Due to the rainy weather today, our Terry Fox Run has been postponed until Monday, September 23, 2024. An email was sent to parents this morning with an updated schedule. 

You can still participate in our student’s fundraising. This event supports vital cancer research while also building incredible school spirit for our students.  We are collecting Toonies for Terry, until Tuesday, September 24. Students are invited to bring in any cash donation to their classroom teacher to help support the Terry Fox Foundation and cancer research.  Let’s all show how incredible and generous our school community is and work to reach the fundraising goal of $650! 

 Relaxed School Entry 

In the morning, school doors are open from 7:45 – 8:00 am for our relaxed entry.  Families are encouraged to drop off their students during this time. After 8:00 am all school doors are locked and late students must enter through the front door. 

School Forms Deadline was September 16, 2023  

The Annual Authorization Form (FOIP) will ensure your student’s picture & work can be included in their Google Classroom. The Demographics Verification form ensures the school has the correct emergency contact information for your child.   

 Please complete the Annual Authorization Form and Demographics Verification form in School Engage as soon as possible. You will find access to School Engage through your MyCBE account. If you do not have a MyCBE account, please contact the office for assistance.    

Open House - Meet the Teacher -September 26, 2024 

Saddle Ridge School will be open for students and families to come and meet their teachers on Thursday, September 26th, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Teachers will be welcoming families to their classroom during this time. 

Scholastic Book Fair 

Our first Scholastic Book Fair of 2024-25 will occur during our Open House on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Parents may purchase items from the book fair and a portion of the sales go to the school to purchase books for the library.  

Lunch Supervision Registration 

All students who stay at school for their lunch break need to be registered in the Lunch Supervision Program. You can register through your MyCBE account. If a student is staying for lunch and is not registered, the office will register the student. There is a fee for the Lunch Supervision Program. You can read more information by clicking here.
