Hello Saddle Ridge School Families,
We had an awesome week of learning at Saddle Ridge School. Next Wednesday, October 23, 2024 is Take Me Outside Day, which helps to raise awareness about outdoor learning. Students will spend a portion of their day involved in outside learning activities. Please make sure your student is dressed for the weather!
Bussing & Student Safety
We now have 5 school buses providing services for our students. Please be aware that there is very limited parking in front of the school, as the bus zone has now been expanded to accommodate the 5 buses. To ensure the safety of all our students, please remember the following during drop-off and pick-up times:
- No parking or stopping in the bus zone located at the front of the school.
- Please use the designated crosswalks when crossing our busy streets.
School Council & School Society Meetings
The next School Council & School Society meetings will be on Monday, October 21 at 1:30 pm. One of the most important ways parents/guardians and community members can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on the School Council. The School Council’s function is to give input to the school principal on matters related to the school. The School Society’s main function is fundraising in support of student programs and learning.
All parents/guardians are welcome to attend. There will be translation (Punjabi, Hindi) for those who require it.
Demographic Verification Form
Alberta Education requires that every student has a current Demographic Verification form completed each school year. Thank-you to all the families that have completed their Demographic Verification form. If you have not yet submitted the outstanding forms you will be receiving an email directly from the Saddle Ridge School office. The forms are in your MyCBE account located in the On-line Forms section.
