Hello Saddle Ridge Families,
We had a short but exciting week at Saddle Ridge School! Thank you to our Grade 1 students and teachers for the wonderful Friendship Assembly today.
Remember, there will be no school on Thursday, February 13 & Friday, February 14 due to the Teacher Convention. Monday, February 17 is Family Day and the school is closed. Students return to school on Tuesday, February 18 – the 100th Day of School.
Kindergarten Lottery Results,
Our 2025-26 Kindergarten Lottery is now complete. Notification of Kindergarten lottery results will be email to parents by Feb 21. Registrations not successful in the lottery, and registrations received after Feb 11 at noon, will be placed on our priority call-back list.
Jump Rope for Heart
Thank you to all the participants in our Jump Rope for Heart event. Total donations of $621.85 will be sent to the Heart and Stoke Foundation. Thank you for your generosity, Saddle Ridge School!
Volunteers for Activities
There are many upcoming on-site and off-site activities. If you would like to volunteer in your child’s class to help with these activities you must have a valid, Calgary Police Volunteer Clearance through the Calgary Board of Education (CBE). Please contact the office staff if you want to apply for Volunteer Clearance or if you would like to check the expiry date of your current clearance.
On-Site & Off-Site Fees
Fees for noon-site and off-site activities appear in your MyCBE account. You can pay on-line or at the school office with debit or credit.
The Canadian Children’s Book Centre
The TD Grade One Book Giveaway program provides a free Canadian picture book to all Grade 1 students across Canada. Our grade one students received their books this week. Thank you TD for the awesome book.
