Hello Saddle Ridge School Families,
This is the last week of school before our Winter Break. The last day of classes is Friday, December 19. Winter Break will be from December 22, 2025 to January 2, 2026. Students return to class on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Winter Spirit Week
Next week is Winter Spirit Week at Saddle Ridge. Students are invited to participate in the following activities.
- Monday, Dec. 15 – Red/Green Day – wear red and green clothing
- Tuesday, Dec. 16 – Holiday Sock Hop – student will participate during gym time
- Wednesday, Dec. 17 – Pajama/Movie Day – wear winter pajamas/watch a movie
- Thursday, Dec. 18 Winter Sweater Day – wear your winter themed sweater
- Friday, Dec. 19 – Festive Day – add something festive to your day’s outfit
Primay Care Alberta – Fluoride Program Kindergarten – Gr. 2
If your Kindergarten to Gr. 2 student received a consent form from Primary Care Alberta’s Community Oral Health Program, please complete and return the form by December 16. Only students who have returned the consent form will be eligible for services when the Community Oral Health team comes in January.
2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration
Registration for the 2026-2027 school year opens on January 12, 2026. Children born in 2021 are eligible to start kindergarten in September 2026. Registration can be done through your MyCBE account.
We will follow the lottery process for Kindergarten registrations. Registrations received by February 10, 2026 will be included in our Lottery draw on February 11, 2026. Registration is not on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Registrations that are unsuccessful in the Lottery draw and registrations received after the Lottery draw, if they cannot be accommodated at Saddle Ridge School, will be placed on a priority call-back waitlist and overflowed to Hugh A Bennett School.
