Good Afternoon Saddle Ridge Families, 

We had a great week at Saddle Ridge School and everyone enjoyed the wonderful weather on Wednesday for our annual Take Me Outside Day.  Please note there is no school tomorrow, Friday, October 20 as it is a Non-instruction Day.

Morning Drop-off & Supervision

School doors are open from 7:45 – 8:00 am for students to enter the school – school begins at 8:00 am. Students are supervised in their classrooms by teachers. Students who arrive to school late (after 8 am) should enter through the front doors. Please click here for more information on parking, student drop-off and pick-up.

Cold Weather Reminder

Students will be going outside at lunch time, and for PE and other learning activities. Please send appropriate clothing (coat, boots, hat and gloves) with your child to school each day as our fall weather can include rainy/cold/snowy/sunny weather – sometimes all on the same day! 

Non-Instruction Day- Professional Learning October 20 

Just a reminder there is no school for students on Friday, October 20. Teachers will be doing professional learning on our School Development Plan. We look forward to sharing our School Development Plan with our school community soon.   

Halloween Assembly and Parade 

Our grade three students have been working hard getting ready for the Halloween Assembly. Saddle Ridge School will host two assemblies, one at 9 am and the other at 1 pm. Each assembly will be followed by a Halloween Parade. Both these events are optional, and students are welcome to wear their costumes to school that day if they like. Please watch for an email from your child’s teacher next week for more information. 

Saddle Ridge School Society Meeting 

The Saddle Ridge School Society will be having a meeting on Monday, October 30 at 1:30 pm. The meeting will be in-person at Saddle Ridge School. All parents are welcome to attend if they would like more information on the School Society or would like to volunteer. Elections for the Society executive will take place at this meeting. If you have questions about the Society or the positions up for election please email them at saddleridgeschoolcouncil1@gmail.com
