Good Afternoon Saddle Ridge Families,
We had a great week at Saddle Ridge School, filled with love, laughter and learning. The grade three students did an awesome job of the Halloween Assembly. All students enjoyed the assembly and parade. Please note that the time change (one hour back) takes place Nov. 5.
Remembrance Day Assembly
To honour Remembrance Day, students will be participating in a Remembrance Day Assembly on November 8. We will have two assemblies that day one at 10:30 am and one at 1pm, please watch for an email from your child’s teacher for more details. Student will receive a Poppy to wear during the assembly. Poppy Fund donations (optional) can be received by the teacher.
School Fees & Waivers
Teachers are organizing a number of activities for students (off-site and on-site activities). School based fees for these activities will be charged to your MyCBE account prior to the activity occurring. You can pay these fees through your MyCBE account or at the school office.
Central School Fees (Student Supplies, Transportation and Lunch Supervision) have now been charged to parents’ MyCBE accounts. You can pay the fees on-line in your MyCBE account or by debit/credit at the school office.

School Bus Delays
We have experienced a number of school bus delays due to driver shortages. We endeavour to inform parents by email as soon as we are aware of the delay. Parents can also check for delays on the “School Bus Monitor” site by clicking here and entering Saddle Ridge School in the search box.
Volunteering for Field Trips/In-School Activities
Teachers will be organizing off-site and on-site activities for their classes. If you would like information on being a volunteer, please click here. You can obtain a Volunteer Registration Form and agency letter from the school office. There is now a charge for the volunteer clearance however, clearance is still valid for five years.
Student Learning Conferences
Our semester 1 Student Learning Conferences will take place on November 23 and 24. November Student Learning Conferences will be in person at the school. Conference time with the teacher must be booked through your MyCBE account. Conference booking opens on November 16. If you require assistance creating your account, please contact the office.
